Tasked with creating a "brand refresh" for a cultural heritage site, I designed a wordmark for the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) that pays homage to its long history of dualities. The rectilinear edges of the "n" and "m," contrasting the rounded edges of the "u" and "a," allude to the university's skyline, specifically the famous Central Library at the heart of UNAM's campus. The continuous line featured in the wordmark helps to inform an expanded design system, as seen in the poster below.
